SIVILIAN

In a small village in the Swiss Alps, Adrian Graf - also known as Sivilian - grew up in a conservative yet creative community. His passion for music was ignited at a young age and drew inspiration from a wide variety of sources. Britney Spears, CCR, ABBA, and Queen were among the early influences that shaped the musician significantly. He let his musical creativity run wild in his school band, experimented with songwriting as a teenager, and began taking guitar lessons, where his teacher introduced him to the music of Bob Dylan and Emmylou Harris.

In 2013, he founded the folk-pop band Frost & Fog with a former classmate and gained his first experience in the music business. This was followed by performances at the Gurtenfestival, a nomination at the M4Music Demotape Clinic, and his first radio hits with the song “Barricade.”

In 2020, he launched his solo project as Sivilian, released his first single «Invisible to Automatic Doors» and followed it up in 2021 with the EP of the same name. Due to the pandemic, he was forced to take many things into his own hands, including the complete production of one of his music videos, which he conceived, filmed, and edited entirely on his own. The singer is willing to make many sacrifices for his passion and musical career. He turned down a lucrative job offer in Berlin and moved back to his hometown in his late twenties to focus entirely on music. After releasing several singles, his second EP «Growing Up Hurts» came out in 2025, with its lead single of the same name almost cracking the Top 50 of the airplay charts for the first time.

Through his music, the singer advocates for greater openness and the empowerment of individual identities, and aims to bring more visibility to queer realities. «I also want to show that sparkling indie pop can emerge even from a small Swiss village» says Sivilian.
